My stay in one of the world's most exciting cultural and musical centers, and the distance from home, have apparently influenced the atmosphere which have characterized my other piano works written in various periods of my life, exist here as well. The three short movements of the piece should be played without a break, with only a slight breath separating them. The first movement is an agitated prelude containing some softer contrasting elements. The second is a lyric intermezzo which has a quotation from Ruba'iyyat of Omar Khayyan as its motto. The third and the longest, is fast and lighter in character. All three movements are basically in A-B-A form, each in its own way and at different levels of complexity.
