Shlomo Gronich

Shlomo Gronich is one of the foremost musicians in Israel. He is a multi-disciplinary composer, pianist and performer who combines classical music, rock, pop, jazz and world music. He also composes for theatre, films, and dance. Gronich has greatly influenced the development of an original Israeli musical style, which combines traditional Western and world music. Among the numerous awards he has received was the ACUM Prize for his contribution to musical life in Israel. His first album, released in 1971, was followed by over 20 more.
