Short Piano Pieces consist of seven methodic pieces, each giving a different musical expression: Crescendo, Semplice, Pesante, Staccato, Legato, Lugubre, Diminuendo Some of the pieces were written in 1962 ans dome in 1963, and the work was first performed in 1964 in New York by the composer.
