About the creation

Baroque Spirit for mandolin and piano was written for Yuval Yanko - a student at Be’er Sheva Music Conservatory The music is based on a baroque concerto form, which resembles .2011 - for his final matriculation examination in the rondo form. The rondo theme and episodes contain both baroque-style features and features which are not characteristic of this style, such as unexpected scales and harmony, creating a light and whimsical “baroque” mood.
