Meytar Tirosh
Meytar Tirosh is an Israeli conductor who firmly believes in the power of music to cross nations and solve conflicts. Already at age 17 performed as a soloist with Israeli Philharmonic, Tirosh received America-Israel cultural foundation scholarship with distinction, and took part in Järvi academy under the guidance of Paavo Järvi.
Tirosh has collaborated with several leading young artists around the world, including percussionist Yuval Yakir, with whom he is currently developing a new project- aiming to introduce classical music to children, and cellist Marcel Kits, who has expressed interest in future collaboration. In the same spirit of building lasting artistic partnerships, he is also in discussions with the Moran Choir about continuing their collaboration following a successful performance together.
Tirosh founded Israel’s first wind ensemble dedicated to original repertoire. He has conducted various orchestras and ensembles, including the Haifa Symphony Orchestra, the Israeli National Youth Wind Orchestra, and the Pärnu City Orchestra.
As a composer, he has won several competitions, with his works broadcasted on Israeli classical radio and performed by leading Israeli artists, including the Finale Ensemble and clarinetist Jonathan Hadas.
In correspondence to his agenda, he worked in the American international school in Israel as a conductor and educator, where he taught music to students from all around the world, and he has performed several times in concerts aimed at supporting communities in need.
His mentors include: Leonid Grin, Liroa Ziv-Li, Dr. Alexander Korenhendler.
