Nitzan Vardi

composer and pianist. A graduate of the Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where she specialized in interdisciplinary composition. She creates in a wide range of mediums and genres, including classical compositions, film scores, music for dance, games, and indie music. A member of the label Kama, the English publishing house EVC, and currently in the process of joining the Israel Music Institute. A recent grant recipient of the Rabinovich Foundation for Independent Creators.

Over the years, her works have been commissioned and performed by the Tel Aviv Soloists Ensemble, the Thelma Yellin Symphonic Orchestra, the Hebrew Writers Association, the Tel Aviv Cinematheque and Soundtrack Festival, and the Israel Museum. In 2022, she released an EP of original compositions named “Debute”. Her film score for the movie Heart Hug/ Обiруч about the war in Ukraine, won awards at the Jerusalem Film Festival, the Tel Aviv Student Film Festival, and the Animix Festival in 2024. Currently, she serves as the Assistant to Artistic Director in the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
