Noya Noam Tal

Noya Noam Tal is an Israeli interdisciplinary composer, pianist, and vocalist. Her work seeks to intertwine word, emotion, and sound, drawing inspiration from classical music, jazz, popular music, and hebrew poetry.

In recent years, her compositions have been performed in concerts, broadcast stations, and festivals both in Israel and abroad: Two scenes from the film “Golden Heart” were performed by the ensemble of the Narnia Festival in Italy; her artistic arrangement of the song “Na’ara U’shma Kinneret” for voice and piano was performed live on Israel’s Kol HaMusica radio station by Naomi Shadmi and Ido Ariel; her three preludes for piano were presented at the Tel-Hai International Piano Masterclasses in her own performance; and her piece “Ki Ani Imadi”, written for the Tehillim Festival of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, was performed by Meitar Ensemble.

Noya has won several awards in composition competitions in Israel and abroad, including First Prize at the Guitar Oasis International Festival for Film Composition, First Prize at the international competition Music of the World, and a prize in the Hebrew Song Arrangement Competition held by Lieder in Pita Bread and the Israel Music Institute.

She is currently studying in the interdisciplinary composition program at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. She began her academic studies in the piano performance program at the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University. Noya is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy High School of Music and Dance, which she completed with honors.

She studied piano with Mr. Yitzhak Kosov and Prof. Asaf Zohar, and composition with Ms. Irina Svetova. She has performed as a soloist with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and on stages widely across Israel.
