Passy Cassel
Composer, arranger, recorder player, harpsichordist and pianist. As a teen, she studied music at Reut middle school and at Wizo high school for arts in Haifa. She holds a BA degree in Bible studies and an MA in composition from Haifa University (under the supervision of prof. Oded Zehavi). Her compositions have been performed at the Yechiam festival, Abu-Gosh festival, Israeli music festival and in various music performances across the country. Passy accompanies choirs and singers and often participates in educational activities for elementary school music students, conducting workshops for the schools’ choirs, ensembles and orchestras, for which she habitually composes and arranges music. As a performer, she is mostly engaged with early music, as well as folk and rock music, and the influences of these genres are apparent in her compositions.
