About the creation

Playing music as a duo is my great passion. This work of mine, A Little Different, is true to its name: these are melodic and harmonic pieces written in heterometric meters—not in the usual framework of 3/4 or 4/4 time, but rather in 5/8, 7/8, and the like—a different way of counting.

The pieces here are written in two-piano format so that the performers can follow each other. The main thing is—don't get confused!

The lightness and simplicity of this work are intended for youth, students, and any pair of players.
