About the creation

Janus was written in December 1972 and consists of two sections, the second of which is the shortened inversion of the first. The musical elements are based on an original diatonic scale of twelve notes, as well as its inversion and its retrograde progression including its transposition at the interval of a fifth. The material undergoes a free development.
