About the creation
Meditations for unaccompanied clarinet was awarded the Israel Music Institute's Prize of the Eliezer Peri Young Composers Competition 1982, held in cooperation with the Israel Composers' League. The work was performed for the first time by Tal Kaplun in a broadcast concert at the final stage of the competition, which took place in Tel Aviv on 21 January 1982.
