About the creation

I consider my composition PINK DUST to be a kind of fantasy of associations which moves by inner progression of tone colours and motif developments. There are two expressive focuses in the piece which can be heard in the basic sonorities (kept deliberately blunt). These are produced by the percussion instruments: the 3 triangles in the first instance and the whip sounds in the second. As I perceive it, the climax of my work is in the personal paraphrase of an imaginary spiritual which comes through with great clarity in the oboe solo. Oded Zehavi
