About the creation

The melo-harmonic language of this work is based on grey chromatic continuity with occasional micro-tonal transitions as part of the thematic material. The syntax is based on the principle governing cinematic editing: continuous processes are presented here in refractory and parallel fashion simultaneously.

The entire work is built of two basic motifs: one harmonic in chords of long and undefined duration and the other rhythmic and sharp with an interruptive meaning.

The piece was premiered in Tel Aviv during the Young Artists Week, in March 1981.
