About the creation

The Trio for violin, violoncello and piano was composed in October 1973. It is based on a row of fourths (perfect, augmented and diminished) and itsretrograde, undergoing free development. The Trio consists of one movement that is subdivided into a number of episodes linked by a common materials. The work was premiered in Tel Aviv in January 1977 Moshe Murwitz, Elchanan Bregman and Pnina Salzman.
