About the creation

Invention – a brief theme with variations; Scherzino – A-B-A form in which double counterpoints appear at various intervals; Toccata – its form approaches rondo form (A-B-B-A) with transitional interludes between the sections. The work was composed in 1963 and was first performed by the pianist Herut Yisraeli in 1965.
