About the creation

Eight Preludes for harp, written in 1983, were inspired by selcted subjects from the Bible. The work was derived from the liturgical cantillations (Taamin) as traditionally sung by the different Jewish Communities. The Preludes were first performed in Israel in 1983 by Judith Liber, to whom the work is dedicated.
